from a convo w/ a friend RE: children & chiropractic

I told my friend that I had 3 children as patients under the age of 6. She said that she didn't know kids that young went to the chiropractor. This was my response.

"Chiropractic adjustments help create balance by restoring alignment of the spinal joints. Often times, children acquire spinal 'subluxations' or misalignments during the birthing process. Just picture a baby being pulled out of their mother's stomach with forceps or a nurse's prying hands. The amount of force a baby's neck is exposed to is enough to cause muscle tears and alterations in the joints of the neck. This can lead to problems that may occur during infancy and toddlerhood or they could not surface until adulthood. Children, babies especially, respond very well to chiropractic care b/c we address some of the issues that could have potentially occurred during birth. Current research has shown that many childhood problems (intfantile colic, ear infections, asthma, etc) can be resolved or at least reduced by a few adjustments. "

So why not provide chiropractic care to babies and children?? It could prove to be life-changing. What a great way to kick-start life! This is TRUE health care (not sickness care), taking care of babies while they're healthy to PREVENT illness and disease later on in life and providing them with the best life possible.
